Training Methodology  

Team OR0-K9 adapts progressive, modern, and real-world proven techniques to responsible law enforcement and military professionals. All the training offered is fundamentals based, following the same building block progression we have used to train thousands of professionals worldwide. 

  • The Nose "Knows"

    5 DAY COURSE

    Understanding the 4-dimensional substance detection environment. Challenging the canine through odor discrimination and distraction. Refining the canine’s detection capability.

    Target Audience:  Anyone in the substance detection industry.  This course is designed to provide the end user with essential tools to enhance the detection capability of canine teams directly supporting conventional and special-purpose units.

  • Shoot, Move and Survive (SMS) WEPTAC

    4 DAY COURSE

    Are you prepared for a worst-case scenario when you deploy your canine?  This course provides the groundwork for developing gun fire tolerance in your canine, re-enforcing correct positioning, and getting off the ‘X” safely; while operating your weapon system.   

    Target Audience:  Law enforcement and military professionals who regularly conduct and/or support street deployments or high-risk operations. This advanced-level course provides the end user with the evaluation, exposure, and developmental tools to increase the operational effectiveness of their police or military canine.   

  • Street levels 1, 2, and 3

    4 DAY COURSE

    This course takes canine and decoy development to the next level.  Preparing teams for real-world operational deployment. Instructors focus on and emphasize a variety of training tools, equipment, and environments to increase the operational effectiveness of each canine.

    Each course culminates with a series of capstone events to validate the previous week’s training.  

    Target Audience:  Law enforcement and military professionals who regularly conduct and/or support street deployment and high-risk operations. These building block courses provide the end user with the evaluation and developmental tools to increase the operational effectiveness of their police or military canine.
